I'm a young professional and graduate student of the University of Nebraska at Omaha working on my Masters of Science in Urban Studies. I hold a B.A. in political science and a B.S. in sociology, along with minors in communications, human rights, and nonprofit management. I am currently the Operations Manager and Camp Director at Go Beyond Nebraska, a nonprofit that takes young people to our camps in Wyoming for a week of community-building, self-discovery, and high-adventure activities like backpacking, whitewater rafting, hiking a mountain, rock climbing, and horseback riding. I have also held previous roles as a political organizer, a campaign finance assistant, and a program assistant.
Through my involvement with organizations like the Latino Center of the Midlands, the College Democrats of Nebraska, the Omaha Students Union, and Inclusive Communities I discovered my passion for advocacy and making my community a better place for all of us. I work to center justice and community in all parts of my life.
I'm looking for opportunities to make our community and planet more equitable, inclusive, environmentally-friendly, and just.
